WORSHIPWorship is for us our
highest priority and of first value.
Man was created to know God and enjoy Him forever, and worship is
the avenue. We respond to
God’s love by worshipping Him in a contemporary and creative manner. LIVING THE BIBLEOur desire is to do and
teach what the Bible says. We
study the Bible and allow the Bible to study us.
Therefore, we highly value expository teaching with an emphasis on
doing and experiencing, thus resulting in value change. MINISTRY OF THE SPIRITWe value the past,
present, and future activity of the Holy Spirit among the church. We desire to receive and impart to others the power and gifts
of the Spirit; that He might equip us to do the work to which we are
called. The continued release
of the activity of the Spirit of God is the crucial ingredient in Jesus’
plan to win the world. INTERCESSIONHoly, believing,
persevering prayer to the Father, by the Son, for the release of the
activity of the Spirit in the earth today is the church’s part in
co-laboring with Christ in intercession.
We value prayer as God’s agent to move in our generation. EQUIPPING THE SAINTSWe value the priesthood of all believers and see the equipping of the saints as the job description for the ascension ministries of Ephesians 4:11 (apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors, and teachers). Everyone is a part and has a part to play in the mission of the church. FELLOWSHIPThe New Testament Church is a community of believers whose lives touch one another. In our highly individualistic society, the Church is called to share in common the life of Christ as He lives in our midst. We live out our commitment to community in our AGAPE Groups. LEADERSHIPWe
value the raising up of servant leaders to a place of public ministry in
the church. We believe in
team ministry and a plurality approach to spiritual leadership in the
local body. CITY-WIDE CHURCHWe value the church of the Lord in the city: The church that the Lord sees as He looks on our cities and communities. We are only a part of the overall body of believers in the city, seeking to do our part in the reaching of the city for Christ. We seek to promote unity in the city, and to assist other fellowships in any way we can. DISCIPLESHIP“Go into all the world and make disciples…” Matthew 28:19. The local church is the primary agent in disciple-making. We believe that discipleship is best accomplished in the realm of Christ-centered relationships, community and family life. We seek to grow together through “mentor/sponsor” relationships in the AGAPE Groups. |
